WHAT: Bus orientation for incoming kindergartners
WHEN: 5:30–8 p.m., August 22 and 23, 2019
WHERE: Rush-Henrietta Senior High School bus loop (1799 Lehigh Station Rd, Henrietta)
On Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23, Rush-Henrietta transportation is hosting a special kindergarten bus orientation for incoming kindergartners for the 2019-2020 school year. More than 30 bus drivers and monitors will be manning different stations for the students and their families to visit! The incoming kindergarteners will learn all about bus safety and even get to go for a bus ride!
Families may attend on either day. The orientation will be open from 5:30-8 p.m., and families may come at any time. After signing in, the students will visit five different bus stations, spending about 7 minutes per station. When they are finished, each incoming kindergartner will receive a goody bag to take home!
The stations are:
- Crossing the street to/from the bus,
- Loading and unloading,
- Emergency on the bus,
- Danger zones, and
- Ride the bus.
Leo the Lion will be making an appearance as well!
There will be a question and answer table for parents. A wheelchair bus will also be onsite for the bus ride.
There is no pre-registration required. Call the transportation department with any questions about the orientation.
We look forward to seeing everyone!
