Rush-Henrietta Remote Learning Academy
The Remote Learning Academy allows interested Rush-Henrietta students in grades K-12 to attend classes full-time from home. This option was made available to families during the summer of 2021, and students who chose this option will remain in this model for the 2021-2022 school year. Students have a set schedule of live (synchronous) online instruction from designated Rush-Henrietta teachers as well as asynchronous learning opportunities.
The Remote Learning Academy plan is available below.
Students from each grade-level band are enrolled at one school. Likewise, teachers are assigned to one school at each grade-level band. This allows students and teachers to be connected to a school culture and follow the processes and procedures of a single school. Teachers work collaboratively with grade-level (or course) colleagues and have access to remote counterparts at their grade levels.
The principal of each school hosting the RLA program is responsible for implementation. This oversight includes student management, academic progress of students, and supervision of teachers.
