Parents

  • Communication among all stakeholders is important in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District. In addition to traditional communication tools, including newsletters, brochures, and publications, the district has implemented a variety of electronic initiatives to extend communication practices. These initiatives include the district website and related content, mass-notifcation phone messaging service, the district Facebook page, and E-News.

While Rush-Henrietta's website includes comprehensive information about the district as a whole, each of its schools, programs, services, activities, special events and news, it is also used to post emergency and weather-related school closings, late arrivals and early dismissals. It should be checked as often as possible in emergency situations as it will be used as a primary tool to provide timely information. When possible, the district Facebook page will also include emergency notices.

Parents with a valid e-mail address on their child's blue card are automatically subscribed to the principal's E-News for the building their child is in. In addition, all parents will also receive regular district E-News updates from the superintendent. These brief and timely e-mails include relevant notifications, announcements and reminders about important meetings, activities and issues, along with links to additional information.

For questions regarding communication in the district, please contact the Office of Community Relations at (585) 359-5065 or (585) 359-5017.
