Expanded Continuum of Services
-
During the 2022-2023 school year, a committee of more than 50 people representing teachers, parents, administrators, and board members worked to update the Special Education Continuum of Services to improve support for our students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. This expanded continuum was introduced during an online workshop featuring Special Education Director Rosalie Sullivan and a panel representing the committee who discussed what these changes mean for students and families in Rush-Henrietta.
One parent who attended the workshop shared her thoughts:
"Thank you so much for this overview on the expansion of the special education continuum of services! As a parent in the district (with four kids ranging in age from 3-16) and a developmental and behavioral pediatrician, I'm so excited and appreciative for all that is being done to support R-H kids with neurodiversity and developmental/behavioral differences. This webinar was so informative." - Abigail L. H. Kroening, MD, FAAP
