Hello Roth Families and Friends,

It was so sweet to see our 9th graders walking Roth’s halls for one of their last times as current students. Exchanging yearbooks to sign. Visiting teachers. And setting an important example for our 7th and 8th graders: “Make the most out of your time at Roth Junior High, because you’ll be sad when it’s over.” 

Well, to all of Roth Junior High: the year is not over yet. There is still plenty of work to be done. Plenty of fun to be had. And, plenty of positive, healthy habits to develop. 

Here are some upcoming events and reminders.

Roth Freshman Lock-In: Tonight is THE NIGHT! It’s going to be a beautiful sunset beyond 4000 East Henrietta Road. 9th graders who purchased tickets are asked to arrive no earlier than 7:45 p.m. for tonight’s event. Families, we ask that student rides arrive by 10:50 p.m., to ensure a timely and safe departure. Freshmen: remember your flashlights, appetite, and energy! See you in a few hours!

Spring Fest: Roth Junior High students and staff will be celebrating together on Monday, June 16. Students will attend their regularly scheduled first three class periods. From 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., students and staff will participate in a variety of activities intended to give us one more chance to laugh, have fun, connect, and get hyped for half-days and exams. We’ll have basketball, soccer, 4-square, yard games, and much more. Comfy clothes and sunscreen are recommended. Oh, and students are going to have plenty of opportunities to Dunk Roth’s Staff. We’re looking forward to a great day!

End-of-Year Schedule: Monday is our final regular school day of the year for all students. Starting on Tuesday, our 7th graders will move to a half-day schedule. They will be present in the building opposite the time/s our 8th and 9th graders will be in the building for testing. Students (and families) should pay special attention to the specific time they need to attend, and the bus pick-up/drop-off schedule below. To all students taking local final exams and Regents: show what you know! 

*Please note: this will be an excellent opportunity for families to use our new StopFinder App to track bus routes and locations. Primary contacts should have already received information to sign up; but, please call our Transportation Center at (585) 359-5380 if you have questions. **Also, please note that our 7th graders will not begin their school day until 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23.

Students and families, here is an idea of bus pickup/dropoff times for those last two weeks:

• Early morning pick-up: Regular pick-up time
• Mid-day pick-up: 9:30 to 10 a.m.
• Mid-day departure: 10:30 to 10:45 a.m.
• End-of-day departure: 2:30 to 2:40 p.m.
