Welcome to the Instructional Technology Page!
The Rush-Henrietta Central School District is committed to providing every student with a device that connects them to the rich resources, creative tools, and authentic audiences the Internet offers. The district provides all students in the district Chromebooks and access to rich online resources to allow for powerful learning experiences. Additionally, students in grades 4-12 are encouraged to bring their Chromebooks home each night. We believe there is tremendous value for students to have the same device at home as they use in school allowing them to become adept in its use, as well helping to make sure they can continue their work and learning outside the school day. In the links below, we have answers to many of the questions families may have about the take home program. If you have questions that are not answered here, please contact us.
While the Chromebooks and online resources are essential for providing a powerful and equal level of technology for all students, that is just the beginning of the work the district is doing to ensure our students are mastering the information and technology skills they need to be successful in life. To support this effort, the district provides numerous professional development opportunities for our teachers so they can make the best use of these instructional resources. We also have added expectations to our curriculum, instruction, and assessments that provide practice for our students to be technologically literate and capable of using online tools and a variety of devices to create, collaborate, and communicate in a digital setting.Quick Links
