Important information from Mrs. Wihlen, Roth Attendance Secretary

When a student is absent from Roth Middle School for any reason, please call the attendance line at 359-5101. You can leave a message at any time of the day or night.

When leaving a message on the voicemail, please state the student’s name, the reason for the absence, along with your name and relationship to the student. If you know your student will be out for an extended period of time or will be arriving late from an appointment, please include this information on the message. Proper documentation is required for students called in sick with certain symptoms to return to school. This may include a doctor’s note and/or a negative COVID-19 screening. The school nurse will follow up to ensure the proper process takes place.

    Health Screening
It is very important that parents/guardians fill out the daily Rush-Henrietta Central School District COVID-19 Screening Request each morning.  Both remote and hybrid students should use the date specific link sent through email each morning (Monday through Friday).

    Late Arrivals
If your student will be late to school for any reason (classes begin at 7:25 a.m.) please call the attendance line to indicate that the student will be arriving late.

    Early Pick-ups
If you need to pick your student up early from school for any reason, please send a note or call the attendance line. The note should be brought to the attendance office and your student will be called out of class upon parent/guardian arrival at the main entrance. Parents/Guardians are required to show ID.  At this time we cannot allow visitors into the building so your student will meet you at the front door.

    End of the Day/Dismissal Time
There is no need to sign a student out once they are dismissed from school at 2:33 p.m. Please make sure your student knows they will be picked up and they can meet you in the parent pickup area at dismissal.

    Bus Passes
Due to social distancing guidelines and limited seating capacity, there will be no bus passes provided to students. Please make alternative arrangements if necessary.

Remember, you can call the attendance office anytime of the day or night and leave a message regarding a student’s late arrival, early dismissal, or absence. If you do not call the attendance office or further information is needed, I will attempt to reach you for confirmation. Thank you!
