Wade Norwood, Class of 1981

  • Wade Norwood, Class of 1981, received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Rochester in 1985. He became the youngest person to be elected to the Rochester City Council, and served four terms.

    Wade is the recipient of the first Governor's Award for African Americans of Distinction, and the James McCuller Award from Action for a Better Community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rochester Health Commission.

    Wade Norwood was honored with the Distinguished Alumni award in 2003.
