Patrick Sloan, Class of 1980

  • Patrick Sloan, Class of 1980, produces "4 Quarters" for ESPN. Since 1995, Patrick has written and produced daily features for ESPN's popular "SportsCenter" and "RPM 2DAY" programs. Patrick also served as sports director and anchor for TV stations in Richmond, Va., and Monroe, La. He got his start in media by working at the high school's radio station.

    In 1996, 2003, and 2004, Patrick received Emmy awards for ESPN’s "SportsCenter." He also received a "Best Sports Feature" award from the Louisiana Associated Press, a First Place Sports Operation award from Virginia United Press International, and a "Best Year-Round Sports Coverage" award from Virginia Associated Press.

    Patrick Sloan was honored with the Distinguished Alumni award in 2006.
