As of 3/30/2020 - UPDATED RIT Registration Procses:
Due to the closure of schools, the following will be the new registration process for students looking to register for RIT courses until further notice:

    STUDENTS WILL NEED TO:

    1. Complete ELECTRONICALLY ALL necessary fields on the RIT Taste of College registration forms as usual -
To eliminate the need for Students/Counselors to have to print, scan, etc. the required RIT Registration forms have been converted to FILLABLE PDFs (SEE BELOW)
** IMPORTANT - You must first "Save As" the PDF Fillable Forms PRIOR to completing - after saving, open & complete, then click "Save" - if you do not do this, the information that you type will not be saved **

    2. EMAIL ALL completed forms to their Counselor, cc'ing in Carolyn Simonelli
(Do not complete the upper section of the Tuition Waiver titled "Student Eligibility" - SHS Counselors will fill out this portion)

FYI - Students will need to indicate in the body of their email when sending Counselors their forms if they are submitting 1st and 2nd choices for courses, since they will be completing electronically and won't have a way to indicate that when doing so.

REMEMBER - Students need a completed Tuition Waiver for EACH course they are looking to register for (this includes back-up choices)

    COUNSELORS WILL THEN:

    1. VERIFY ALL fields of registration forms were fully completed by student
    2. ELECTRONICALLY complete the upper section of the Tuition Waiver (where you would normally write)
    3. EMAIL completed forms to:
Melissa Christman (mgcrgr@rit.edu) AND Tina Sturgis (tmscst@rit.edu) @ RIT, cc'ing in Carolyn Simonelli (csimonelli@rhnet.org)

    RIT WILL THEN:

    1. Process electronically registration forms
    2. EMAIL *confirmation of registration to: Student, cc'ing in Counselor & Carolyn Simonelli
*This will also include if RIT was unable to register the student

AS WE MOVE FORWARD WITH THIS NEW PROCESS:
It is important that each of the above steps are followed as outlined to ensure there isn't a breakdown in communication amongst all parties for each student's registration - if there are any questions that come up at any point in the process, please reach out so we may address accordingly.

     PLEASE NOTE -
    > The RIT Registrar's Office is CLOSED until further notice and they are now working from an online format
    > Spring 2020 semester classes are now all through alternative delivery methods (no in-person classes) -
students would have been notified accordingly
(posted by RIT to their students upon "return" from Spring Break - https://www.rit.edu/news/welcome-message-provost-granberg)
    > While Summer 2020 registration is ongoing, Fall 2020 enrollment "opens" April 6, 2020

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in implementing this new registration process for the time being.
