Welcome to the Department of Music!
We invite you to browse this portion of the district website to learn more about our outstanding music programs. We are very proud of our fine arts programs and the work our students are able to accomplish! We hope you will take advantage of the many opportunities to share in, and celebrate these fantastic programs by attending one of the concerts. Our comprehensive general music curriculum spans grades K through 12. In addition, the district offers a wide variety of performance ensembles and opportunities. Students may begin taking an orchestra or band instrument and/or sing in the chorus in fourth grade. Each school has its own band, chorus, and orchestra. All students are invited and welcome to join a performance ensemble.

P.S. In 2024, Rush-Henrietta was again named one of the Best Communities for Music Education in America by the NAMM Foundation! That is 14 consecutive years and 18 years overall!
