    Criminal Justice Exploring Academy – July 15th-19th from 9am-4:30pm at the Public Safety Training Facility – The Criminal Justice Exploring Academy is an exciting co-ed day camp for high school students ages 14-20. The academy will: provide Explorers with an opportunity to experience life in the criminal justice field and allow Explorers to learn leadership skills and hands-on law enforcement skills. CJEA is designed with help from the Greece Police Department to create a better understanding of the world of work in the criminal justice field.     RIT College & Careers is offering a summer program opportunity for current 10th and 11th graders who may be interested in a career-exploration conference experience. College and Careers offers 70 hands-on, interactive academic workshops that are designed to spark your curiosity and help you make decisions about which college major and career are the best fit for you. You’ll also spend the night on-campus and enjoy student-life activities to get a taste of what college life is really like. You will work with RIT students and faculty using our state-of-the-art facilities and technology. Attend up to four academic workshops that include a variety of programs like Robotics, Game Design, Interior Design, Environmental Sustainability, Biomedical Engineering, Business Analytics and more! College & Careers also includes a separate (but optional) program for parents, which will provide information about the college search process, career trends, college affordability and more. Two conferences are available: July 19-20 or August 2-3.     FREE Camp Tiger Workshops for Girls:
    GenCyber for Girls: July 22nd-26th for 8th-12th grade. This workshop is designed to introduce girls to the world of cybersecurity and other computing skills. Girls will love this all-girls hands-on camp that emphasizes cyber ethics, online safety, cyber security and defense. This workshop is funded by the federal grant from the NSA Gen-Cyber program and is taught by the Computing Security department at RIT.     Women in Computing & AT&T Present: Python Coding Camp for Girls: July 16th-19th or July 20th-August 2nd for 8th-12th grade. A summer camp for girls interested in computing! No prior programming experience is needed. Girls will learn about essential programming concepts like variables, loops, functions, conditionals through coding projects using Python. Engaging activities, both on the computer and off, will help campers understand what computer science really is and how computer science can change the world. Campers will use their creativity to create projects while exploring the process of coding. Our coding camp is a place where campers can learn, connect and have fun.     Exploring Career Interest Survey:
    Exploring is a career education program for school–age men and women ages 13-21 based on a unique and dynamic connection between youth and the businesses in their communities. Local organizations are matched to the interests of young people in the community using this career interest survey.

    The result is a program of activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop. Many times, these programs provide a hands-on experience, which could enhance financial success, career preparation, and college endorsements. Please complete the five- to ten-minute online career interest survey.

    Instructions to students:
    1. Go to www.exploringyourcareer.com
    a. If you are on a mobile device, consider switching your device to a landscape position so you can view content more easily.
    2. Enter your “Personal Information” and “School Information” as accurately as possible. For ‘Current School City’, choose HENRIETTA. This will ensure that our district populates in the ‘Current School Name’ field.
    3. Choose your top two (2) career choices and top two (2) hobby choices by selecting "1st choice" and "2nd choice" next to your selections.
    4. After making your four (4) selections, click "Submit" at the very bottom of the page.
    5. Your response on the survey may result in an invitation by a local company, business, or organization for you to participate in a hands-on career program in a field in which you have selected as one of your interests. Your personal information WILL NOT be shared with others.
    6. This is one of the first steps towards career/life success, please take this seriously.
