The Rush-Henrietta school social worker is a licensed mental health specialist who serves as a liaison between school, home and the community. Social workers aim to advocate and empower. They assist students, their families and educators by providing the tools they need to gain access to and effectively use school and community resources.
Your school social worker is focused towards students whose emergent social-emotional, biological and environmental factors create barriers to educational achievement. Interventions are always directed towards supporting academic success and personal growth.
Other services provided by your school social worker include but are not limited to:- Family and community outreach
- Counseling
- Consultation/collaboration, and
- Providing assessments.
