School Counselors

  • The school counselor is an educational specialist and case manager for all students. They utilize leadership, advocacy and collaboration skills to:

    • Promote student success
    • Provide preventative services, and
    • Respond to identified student needs.

    Your student’s counselor will also implement a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career and personal development for all students. This program includes:

    • Grade 6-12 career guidance
    • Individual student planning
    • Preventative and responsive services, and 
    • Collaboration with families, faculty and post-secondary institutions.
