The school counselor is an educational specialist and case manager for all students. They utilize leadership, advocacy and collaboration skills to:
- Promote student success
- Provide preventative services, and
- Respond to identified student needs.
Your student’s counselor will also implement a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career and personal development for all students. This program includes:
- Grade 6-12 career guidance
- Individual student planning
- Preventative and responsive services, and
- Collaboration with families, faculty and post-secondary institutions.
