Class Format
ESL classes are 80 minutes long. The ESL lesson is for about 50 to 60 minutes. Students work on developing English skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The second part of class is about 20 to 30 minutes. This time is used for support with projects or homework given from other classes. Some students use this time to finish tests from other classes.
Some ESL teachers also go to classes with students and help out. This may occur in Biology, Algebra, Global History or US History.
Materials Needed
Students should have an ESL 3 ringed binder, pen or pencil for class. They should also bring their Chromebook each day to class.
