Noteflight is a free online composition application that allows you to write your own music to save, print and share with other Noteflight users. Along with being free, it is easy to use.

Along with excellent videos, the site offers handouts to accompany the videos, and covers many of the techniques taught in 8th grade guitar. I have not checked out the Premium Videos that you need to pay for, but based on the free stuff, I'm sure you'll get your money's worth.
