Although composition software like Finale and Sibelius offer an amazing amount of tools for professional musicians, they are very expensive and somewhat difficult to learn. Noteflight is a free online composition application that allows you to write your own music to save, print and share with other Noteflight users. Along with being free, it is easy to use. -

Free online Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Have access to 100's of loops for free, or upgrade and have access to 1000's of loops to use in your compositions. -

Audiotools.com gives you free access to 100's of loops and audio processors. You can create electronic/dubstep music. The learning curve is a bit steep, the the site has outstanding tutorial videos.

If you are learning how to play guitar, nothing beats having a private teacher... but Freeguitarvideos.com comes close. Along with excellent videos, the site offers handouts to accompany the videos, and covers many of the techniques taught in 8th grade guitar. I have not checked out the Premium Videos that you need to pay for, but based on the free stuff, I'm sure you'll get your money's worth. -
