Meet the Teacher

  • This is my seventeenth year teaching at Roth Middle School, but I actually was a student at Roth when it was a high school. I graduated from Rush-Henrietta in 1988, and you can still see my Senior Picture in the graduating class picture displays at the high school. While in High School, along with being a member of the RH Singers, I was also participated in the Spring Musicals, and was on the football team.

I work with my wife, Mrs. Sanchez-Kazacos, who I met here at Roth. We have two children, Campbell and James, whose antics I will refer to often in class. Campbell is nine years old and James is eight.

I graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991 with a degree in political science, but went back to school in 1994 to get my music degree from San Jose State. While in school, I had the opportunity to perform with the San Jose Symphony and Opera San Jose.

Along with teaching choral and general music at Roth, I also direct Dedicated Voices, a select chorus that rehearses every Tuesday and Thursday morning. In addition, you can find me in the auditorium when January rolls around, helping out with the Spring Musical.
