First Grade ENL

Students in First grade are learning to be good speakers and listeners. They are learning to ask and answer questions and to share their thoughts and opinions.

Writing is very important in First grade. We are learning how to write complete sentences and add interesting details to our writing. This can be challenging for First graders so we have in depth conversations before we write so that everybody feels comfortable and has good ideas. Conversation, even in your native language will help your children become better writers.
