Sight Words
-
Sight words are words that students should know automatically "on sight". They are frequently occurring words in the books they read and often they are words that do not follow phonetic rules (said is not spelled sed, come is not pronounced like comb).
In the district we use the Fry Word List. Many of these words are taught within our Fundations Program. Below you will find links to word lists and websites that your child can use to practice sight words.
