R-H BUDGET APPROVED
Dear Families, Employees, and Residents,
It is with sincere thanks that I announce that Rush-Henrietta’s 2025-2026 budget proposal was approved today by a margin of 1,669 to 771. That's a 69 percent approval rate. On behalf of our school community, please accept our sincere appreciation to those who voted today.
We are happy to share that two other propositions also received approval. The purchase of new buses was approved 1,874 to 597 (76 percent). Voters also approved the establishment of a 2025 Capital Reserve by a margin of 1,861 to 610 (75 percent). In addition, Mai Abdullah and Suzanne Bennett were re-elected to serve three-year terms on the Board of Education. They were the only candidates for two open seats.
We are so grateful to our community for its continued support of our students, employees, and schools. Thank you for allowing us to provide the resources that we will use to help provide all students in our district with a high-quality education. Today’s budget vote results are a win for everyone who considers Rush-Henrietta their home.
Last year, I pledged to expand the process of sharing information regarding the school district’s budget-development process. That resulted in the creation of eight informational sessions held from November through May. Many thanks to those who took advantage of these opportunities. Your participation in our schools is vital to Rush-Henrietta’s future success.
Thanks for your continued support of our students, staff, and community.
