    Physical Education Website

What to wear for physical education class?

On the days students have physical education they should wear comfortable and appropriate clothing. Please have your child leave jewelry at home on the days of physical education. Proper footwear is required to participate safely in class activities. These are sneakers that have shoelaces, Velcro straps, or both. They should have a flat sole and completely enclose the foot. Sneakers that come off the foot easily are dangerous and cannot be worn in class.

When does your child have physical education class?  Your child has physical education every other day.  Go to rhnet.org and go to quick links on left margin an find school newsletters and find Winslow.  Open Winslow Newsletter to see calendar to know the letter day  for your child.

Does your child need to be excused from physical education class?

Those students who need to be excused from physical education for medical reasons must bring a note from home stating the reason and for how long they are to be excused. Any medically excused student from physical education classes will not be allowed to participate in playground activities.

    Safety

Safety is a high priority in physical education class. We take every measure to make the environment safe and positive for your child. We require students to remove jewelry and advocate safety straps for glasses.
