      Hello Winslow Families,

      We have had a busy week of learning at Winslow!  Thank you for all you do to support learning and school every day, but especially as we slide into the final two months of school.  We have a lot of important learning still to do!

      This week, we have our Winslow PTO meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.  We will have a presentation from the Rush-Henrietta Board of Education about the proposed budget for the 2025-2026 school year.  Please join us, this is an excellent way to stay informed about your Winslow Elementary School!

      Budget Vote Tuesday, May 20
      Please save the date for Rush-Henrietta’s annual budget vote and Board of Education election. Eligible voters are encouraged to vote between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the R-H Transportation and Operations Center, 1133 Lehigh Station Road. Can’t make it that day? You have another option!

      Qualified voters who would like an application for an absentee ballot or early voting ballot may request one from District Clerk Cheryl Castronovo at 359-5010 or ccastronovo@rhnet.org. If either type of ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the completed application must be received by the district clerk no later than Tuesday, May 13. If the early mail or absentee ballot is to be handed to the voter in person at the Office of the District Clerk, the completed application must be received by the district clerk during regular office hours no later than Monday, May 19. The Office of the District Clerk is located in the Parker Administration Building, 2034 Lehigh Station Road, Henrietta.

      To be counted, both types of ballots need to be received by the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, via postal mail or the drop-box located at the administration building. If you need ASL interpreter service at the polling site for the May 20 vote, contact Ms. Castronovo by Wednesday, May 14, to request that an interpreter be present.

      Placement Request for 25-26 School Year

      It’s hard to believe, but we are starting the placement process for the 2025-26 school year!   Should you have information you wish to present regarding the placement of your child, you are encouraged to do so no later than Monday, May 12, using our parent input form. Parents may request a type of classroom or type of teacher for their child.  Please do not name a specific teacher. Forms and/or emails that name a specific teacher will not be considered during the placement process.  Grade 3 parents of students who are moving to Sherman Elementary School will have a separate form shared with you soon.

      If your language is other than English, and you require an interpreter for any of our events, please let us know as soon as possible so that one may be obtained. You can contact the main office at 359-5090.

      2024-2025 Pick-Up form. This form must be completed no later than noon on the day of pick up.  If an emergency should occur causing a change in your child’s dismissal plans after noon, please call the Winslow office at 359-5090.
