Hello Winslow Families,

What a week we’ve had at Winslow!  The K-12 Art Show was amazing.  The third-graders dazzled in their “Broadway Show Night!”  Our school observed Flag Day and celebrated our long-ago former Winslow students, now high school seniors, as they paraded in their regalia in the halls of Winslow.  We capped the week off with a super-fun End-of-Year Picnic!

That will be hard to top, but we are looking forward to another great week ahead!  Wednesday, June 18, is Fun Day! Thursday is Juneteenth, and all schools will be closed in observance of this holiday.

Fun Day

Fun Day for grades 1 & 2 will be from 9:15-10:50, and for Kindergarten & grade 3 from 11:55-1:30.  

• Parents are welcome to join us outside to watch Fun Day events.  
• Pets may not attend.
• Any siblings who accompany parents may not join in the activities, but are welcome to spectate.  
• Student sign out for any early dismissal will be handled through the Winslow office, as usual.

Coin Drive Update

Our Winslow community gathered change last week to support Golisano Children’s Hospital.  The Winslow Way ambassadors and their coach, Mrs. Spitzer, have informed me that our school will be presenting Golisano with a check for $1,388.07!  We are so proud of the generosity of our school community!

Third Graders: Join Our Music Program!                                                         

If your student will be in fourth grade this fall, they can choose to join the before-school performing ensemble program. Students in fourth grade can learn to play a band or orchestra instrument and/or to sing in the chorus. More information and a registration link is available by clicking here. Please register your child for participation by June 25. Talk with your child about what they are learning in music classes and discuss the ensemble options available to them. We welcome all students to become a part of this fun and rewarding experience, continuing the rich tradition of excellence in music in R-H!

Reminder: 2025-2026 Transportation Forms    

The Rush-Henrietta Department of Transportation would like to emphasize the crucial role of parents in ensuring smooth transportation for their children. If you require transportation to and from a different location other than your home, it is essential to submit a form indicating the other location. Even if there is a form on file for this school year, an updated form is required for each school year. Interpreters for Winslow Events:
If your language is other than English, and you require an interpreter for any of our events, please let us know as soon as possible so that one may be obtained. You can contact the main office at 359-5090.

2024-2025 Pick-Up form. This form must be completed no later than noon on the day of pick up.  If an emergency should occur causing a change in your child’s dismissal plans after noon, please call the Winslow office at 359-5090.
