A Message from the Winslow Parent Group
Buraq Amin, President
There is no greater honor to me than being part of a community where we continue to deliver a healthy, happy and a productive environment for our children. It is an honor and a privilege to be the president of the Winslow Parent Teacher Organization. Thank you for giving me that opportunity! I am a proud mother of three amazingly busy children and a wife of a great husband, Joshua Harmon. We had an excellent experience with Winslow Elementary last year and are delighted to continue our journey here again, as parents of a first grader.
I have no words to express my gratitude and excitement about the talented and dedicated team members I have the pleasure to work with. I truly am lucky. I am looking forward to meeting many of you as well. We welcome and encourage everyone to join us and continue supporting us in any capacity you can!
Heather Perry, Vice-President
Hi everyone! I'm Heather Perry. I grew up in Webster. My husband and I moved to Henrietta 6 years ago, just before we had our daughter, Emma. She will be a first grader this year!! We also have a son, Owen, who will be joining the Winslow community in a year or two. I work full-time for Rochester Regional Health. The kids keep me pretty busy running around with different activities. Some things I enjoy are camping, being on the water, reading, and baking. I look forward to being more involved with Winslow this coming year and planning some amazing activities for the kids. I look forward to seeing you all around the school!

Emily Richardson, Treasurer
Hi, my name is Emily Richardson. My husband, Chris, and I have lived in the Rochester area since 2003. We were both raised in the midwest and went college in the west, at BYU. We have 5 children ranging in age from 15 to 7. As a family, we love long road trips, visiting national parks, and visiting our families who live far away. We love exotic foods, hiking, tennis, soccer, and old movies. We have had lots of great experiences with the Rush-Henrietta schools and hope to help keep Winslow a great community for everyone.
Krishna Chakraborty, Co-Treasurer
It’s a great honor to be a part of the Winslow family. I am a proud mother of an awesome son with my husband Barun. I have lived in Henrietta since 2010 whereas my husband has lived here since 2007. I grew up in northern and northeastern parts of India. My son, Arunabha, has enjoyed and completed his Kindergarten year and now ready to start his first grade. I also had a wonderful experience as a volunteer in various classrooms of Winslow for about a year and half. And I have been a member of the school improvement team of Winslow for the past year.
I enjoy singing, listening to soft music, cooking, traveling, walking, camping and love spending time with my loving son. I have never found anything more rewarding than being the mom of my caring cookie. I look forward to seeing all of you at our school events and PTO meetings.
Joshua Harmon, Member
As the father of 3 great children, I am happy to be a member of the Winslow Elementary PTO. Children are the most important investments that any of us can make, and their success in the future is dependent on the dedication and time we give them today. I am fortunate enough to be married to the president of the Winslow Elementary PTO, and look forward to working with her for the betterment of our Winslow community. I like fishing, golfing, and participating in other activities that I used to enjoy before I became a father. I hope to enjoy them again one day with my kids when they are old enough! I also enjoy all of the home repair projects that my wife assigns to me! I look forward to meeting all of you over the course of the year. I hope to see you at our school events and PTO meetings!
