Digital Equity Survey Translations

  • Nearly a decade ago, the Rush-Henrietta Central School District began developing a long-term plan to ensure that each child had access to a personal learning device. Today, every student in our district has a Chromebook assigned to them for that purpose.

This kind of widespread access to technology is not found in all school districts. That’s why the New York State Education Department is requiring each district to measure student access to digital technology. Its new Digital Equity Survey seeks to create an accurate picture of digital equity for each New York student in grades K-12. The goal is to better understand how many students have home access to the Internet, and to learn what kinds of devices they use.

In response to this requirement, Rush-Henrietta is asking all families to respond to several brief questions found in each student's SchoolTool account. This will only take a few minutes. To make it as easy as possible, we created a document to walk you through the process. We anticipate that the state will ask for this information to be updated each year.

To complete a Digital Equity Survey for each student in your household, begin by logging into the full SchoolTool site. Some mobile devices will default to the mobile site; if you’re on a mobile device you’ll need to access the full site by clicking the View Full Site link on the login screen.

We appreciate your time and thank you for helping us to respond to this state requirement.

Copies of the survey are available below in English, Nepali, Arabic, and Spanish. If you would like a translation in another language, please contact your child's school.
