  • Essential Questions:  What is exposition?  What does Shakespeare tell his audience in the first three scenes of Macbeth?  How does this play parallel contemporary society?

     

    What?  Introduce vocabulary words and begin the play.

     

    Why?  So that we can understand the themes of Macbeth.

     

    How? Go over vocabulary words; discuss contemporary politics; listen to beginning of play.
