Distinguished Guest Speaker January 2017

  • On January 31, 2017, Mrs. Archana Prasad came and spoke to my second grade class after we had learned about the lives and nonviolent crusades of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mohandas Gandhi. Mrs. Prasad's great-grandfather was none other than Mahatma Mohandas Gandhi, and she shared stories about some of her father's boyhood experiences, including times he spent with his Grandfather Gandhi. (By the way, Mrs. Prasad's father, Arun Gandhi, has published children's books about his famous grandfather -- check them out at the Henrietta Library, where you can also say hello to Mrs. Prasad on the days she is working there!)
