ELA/Writing:

   I have enjoyed getting to know the students as readers and thinkers during Guided Reading. They have enjoyed the texts they are reading and are doing a nice job participating in their group. 

   In writing we have been working on short response to text. The students are getting used to a format where they use two text details to support thier answer to a directed question. We will continue to practice this throughout the year.
