Welcome to Fyle Elementary School! Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions that are designed to help you learn more about our school. Please feel free to call the main office at 359-5430 for additional information. We're happy to help!
Q. Where can I drop off my child?
A. Before school starts, please pull into the drop-off lane in the side parking lot, students will be greeted by a staff member there at 7:45 a.m. After school has started, please park in the bus loop, if clear of buses. Doors are locked once school begins so please ring the buzzer for admission by the office staff, and then take your child to the main office to sign in.
Q. What time can I drop off my child?
A. School begins at 7:50 a.m. and students can be dropped any time after 7:45 a.m.
Q. What is the procedure if I need to temporarily change my child's busing?
A. Please send a note to school to the school office the Wednesday of the week prior to the busing change. In the note, please include your child's name, the classroom teacher's name, the address that the child is to be bussed to and the dates the change is effective.
Q. What is the procedure if I need to pick up my child?
A. Please send a note in with your child or call the main office no later than 1 p.m. to let us know that you will be picking up your child. For early dismissal, parents are required to come into the main office to sign their student out. Please be prepared to show ID.
For dismissal, at the end of the day, you can use this form, and your child will be added to the pick-up list. You will remain in your vehicle in our pick-up line and a staff member will bring your child to your car. Please be prepared to show ID.
Q. How do I put money on my child's lunch account?
A. There are a few different ways you can put money on your child's lunch account. You can send your child in with cash or a check made out to R-H Food Service and can be given to the cafeteria cashier; you can call MealPayPlus at 1-866-727-3053; or visit www.mypaymentsplus.com. Please have your child's student ID number when making a payment online or over the phone. If you don't know the ID number, the classroom teacher or main office can provide it to you.
Q. How can I find out about events and activities at Fyle?
A. There are several ways to stay informed. The district website is a great source of information for our school community. You can access the online calendar, from the homepage as well as our school page, and view all of the events and activities that are taking place at Fyle and throughout the district. In addition to those resources, principals automatically send a weekly E-News to parents who provide an email address on the child’s blue card. Make sure to keep your email address up to date with your child’s school.
