Hello, my name is Barbara Thorogood and I am the School Social Worker at Fyle Elementary School.   In my position as the social worker, I provide emotional and social support through individual and small group counseling.  The topics covered in small groups include the New Comers Club, Changing Families and social skills building. 

I am also a trained Trauma, Illness and Grief counselor for the District as well trained in Crisis Intervention. In January of 2019, I had the priviledge of attending a three day training in Restorative Practices, which I am now using in both classrooms and in small group settings. I am also available to all Fyle parents for support in the area of parenting and community resources for the student and family.
