SHS Musicians Earn State's 'Pinnacle of Accolades'
Rush-Henrietta is excited to announce that it will be represented by seven students at the 88th Annual NYSSMA Winter Conference and All-State Concerts. This prestigious event features the best student musicians in New York. It is the pinnacle of accolades for high school musicians in the state.
Our district is represented by students selected from thousands of applicants. They will perform with their peers from school districts across the state in December. The concert will take place at the historic Kodak Hall at Eastman Theater in Rochester. Congratulations to these seniors who will represent Rush-Henrietta’s band, choral, and orchestra programs:
Symrinn Adukkalil, Treble Chorus, Soprano I
Miles Anderson, Mixed Chorus, Tenor II
Ashley Ficarra, Mixed Chorus, Alto 1
Alex Herreid, Treble Chorus, Soprano II
Annabella Mack, Symphony Orchestra, Double Bass
Johnathan Maus, Symphonic Band, Trombone
Christopher Suh, Symphony Orchestra, Cello
Four Royal Comets also were named alternates. They are:
Kevin Kwok, Violin
Lillian Merrill, Violin
Haylie Smith, Alto II
Mehdi Zaidi, Bass I
This recognition is based on last spring’s All-State solo festival audition. That audition required an exemplary level of performance on a Level 6 solo, the most difficult offered. Please join us in congratulating these students, their families, and their music teachers on earning this extraordinary recognition! #NYAllState24
