Ambition—a strong desire to become famous, rich, or to reach a goal. His ambition is to earn a million dollars before he is thirty.
Attain—to gain or achieve through work. To attain one’s goals.
Compromise—a settlement of a disagreement in which each side gives up something, or the result of such a settlement. We were both happy with the compromise we made.
Conscience—the sense that allows a person to decide between right and wrong actions. Did it bother your conscience to skip the meeting?
Fate—the power that is often believed to decide what will happen in
human life or history. Fate was on her side when she won the
contest.
Greed—a great desire for more wealth and possessions than one needs or deserves. Scrooge was known and disliked for his greed.
Mnemonic—something that is used to aid the memory. HOMES is a mnemonic
device to help remember the names of the
Moral Code—Moral codes are often complex definitions of right and wrong that are based upon well-defined value systems.
Prediction—an event that is told about before it happens. The wizard made a prediction that the treasure would be found in seven years.
Temptation—something or someone that makes you want
to try to get to do something wrong or not wise. Stop tempting me
with that dessert; I'm on a diet.
