Rush-Henrietta Music Shines at NYSSMA Majors!

Rush-Henrietta's band, chorus, and orchestra student musicians performed exceptionally well during the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival held in May. 

• Our Symphonic Band earned Gold with Distinction rating!

• RH Singers earned a Gold with Distinction rating!

• The Symphonic Orchestra earned a Gold rating!

• The Jazz Ensemble earned a Gold rating!  

Symphonic Band and Symphonic Orchestra performed level 5 pieces. This indicates musical selections that are difficult and recommended for more advanced high school ensembles and soloists of experience and proficiency.

Jazz Ensemble and RH Singers performed level 6 pieces. This indicates musical selections that are very difficult and designed for musically mature ensembles of exceptional competence and the most advanced soloists. 

Rush-Henrietta had three other ensembles performing.

• The Sherman 6th grade band performed and earned a Gold rating.

• The Roth 7th grade band performed and earned a Gold rating.

• The Roth 8/9 Concert band performed and earned a Silver rating.
