Community Approves Budget Vote, Propositions; Elects Two to Board

Our sincere thanks to so many of you who took the time today to participate in the district's annual budget vote and Board of Education election.
Voters approved Rush-Henrietta's proposed 2023-2024 budget by a margin of 1,203 to 525. A bus expenditures proposition also was successful by a margin of 1,345 to 386. In addition, voters said yes to the 2023 Capital Expenditures proposal, which was approved 1,346 to 384. Finally, a proposal to purchase real property at 1871 Lehigh Station Road also was given the green light by voters by a margin of 1,280 to 442.
Two residents - Laura Borate (1,059) and Shiloh Arthmann (1,021) - were elected to serve on the Board of Education for three-year terms. A third candidate, Carrie Silva Martin, received 1,007 votes.
