Reopening Information

Superintendent's E-News sent August 18, 2021

Dear Rush-Henrietta Families and Employees,

I am writing with several important updates as we continue to prepare for the new school year, which begins Wednesday, September 8.

Tentative Reopening Plan
A draft of our reopening plan is available for review at www.rhnet.org/reopening. Adjustments may be made to this preliminary plan based on potential updated guidance and conditions within the county. This plan needs to be adopted by the Board of Education, which is holding a special meeting Tuesday, August 31. Please review this document with your student.

Schedules and Bus Routes
When it comes to classroom assignments, student schedules, and bus routes, our staff is trying to accomplish in four weeks what traditionally takes months to complete. We thank you for your patience while we do this important work.

Our goal is to have schedules for students in grades 7-12 completed by Friday, August 27. Classroom assignments for students in grades K-6 should be ready Monday, August 30. Bus schedules will be mailed soon and families can expect to see them arriving in mailboxes by the end of August. In addition, the district calendar is at the post office and ready to be mailed home. You always can view important dates online at rhnet.org/calendar. In addition, this year's supply lists are available on each school’s section of the district website.

Schedules will be available first in SchoolTool, our online portal. Parents of kindergartners and other students new to the district will receive accounts for SchoolTool this week. A message will be sent to the parent/guardian email account on file with the district. New students in grades 7-12 also will receive SchoolTool accounts. This information will be shared in a message to their district email address late next week. If you have questions about your SchoolTool account, please contact your school’s main office.

We look forward to the start of the new school year and welcoming your child back to class!

Sincerely,

Lawrence Bo Wright
