In honor of the town of Henrietta’s annual Make a Difference Day, Rush-Henrietta students and staff participated in a food drive to benefit the Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal (RHAFT) from October 22-26. Coordinated by Director of Student Management Chris Barker, students and staff donated approximately 325 boxes of nonperishable food and personal care items for the drive. At the end of the week, students from the Webster Learning Center, staff volunteers, and a transportation driver visited all of the buildings and collected the donations. On Saturday, October 27, student volunteers from the junior high schools and high school, along with community volunteers, sorted and organized all of the donations. As you can see in the picture, that was no small task. In fact, according to one of the RHAFT volunteers, this year was the most that R-H has collected for the food drive yet!
Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference in our community!
