The same incredible school spirit that we experienced during homecoming week was still on display today, as Channel 13 and FOX Rochester spent two hours at Rush-Henrietta Senior High School for its Friday Morning Lights series.
Sam Carter, of 13WHAM, was with students beginning at 6 a.m. in the high school gymnasium. He interviewed Varsity Football Coach Joe Montesano and some of his players about the R-H vs. McQuaid game scheduled for Saturday. He also spoke with Connie Frank, who has been working in the district for 50 years. In addition, members of our girls golf and tennis teams talked about their athletic pursuits, and cast members from R-H Spotlight Theatre’s fall play invited everyone to their presentation of “Almost Maine” October 20-22.
You can watch all of the video segments from this morning by clicking here! I am sure you will feel proud of our district when you hear our students speak.
One of the highlights of this event was completely unplanned. During the tug-of-war featuring the seniors against the juniors and sophomore, the rope quickly broke, sending students sprawling to the floor with laughter. As Sam Carter told viewers, it was "amazing!"
Many thanks to Sam, 13WHAM, and our students and staff at the Senior High School for creating this memorable event.
