R-H Receives National Recognition!
We have exciting news to share with you! Rush-Henrietta Senior High School again has been named among the top 10 percent of high schools nationwide by U.S. News and World Report! The news was announced April 26, 2022.
Rush-Henrietta Senior High School consistently is recognized in this way, and our community should take great pride in the honor. This recognition reflects the important contributions made by each of our employees during the past decade. Since the first day our high school students stepped foot in their kindergarten classrooms, each and every staff member has made a difference that is reflected in the outstanding news we are sharing today.
For the past four years, Rush-Henrietta Senior High School has ranked among the top 10% of schools in the nation based on U.S. News and World Report’s ranking system. High schools nationwide are given a score out of 100. This year, the Senior High School scored 90.8 out of 100. These scores are based on six weighted indicators. They are College Readiness, College Curriculum Breadth, Math and Reading Proficiency, Math and Reading Performance, Underserved Student Performance, and Graduation Rate.
“This recognition is a reflection of the good work our students and staff are doing together every day,” says Dr. Tim Shafer, Senior High School principal. “I see examples of this regularly when I visit our classrooms. Rush-Henrietta teachers and staff continue to make an incredibly positive impact on students, and I thank them for the terrific work they have done again this year.”
