Senior High School Ranked Among Top 10 Percent Nationwide
U.S. News and World Report has released its annual Best High Schools in America poll for 2021, and Rush-Henrietta Senior High School once again is in the top 10 percent nationwide!
“We take pride in knowing Rush-Henrietta Senior High School consistently is recognized among the top-ranked high schools in the nation,” says Superintendent Bo Wright. “This achievement reflects our continued commitment to offering advanced academic opportunities to all students, providing a forward-thinking curriculum, and pursuing equity. This community has accomplished so much together. Our goal is to help ensure that each Rush-Henrietta graduate is prepared for success beyond our hallways.”
For the past three years, Rush-Henrietta Senior High School consistently has ranked among the top 10% of schools in the nation based on the U.S. News and World Report’s ranking system. When doing those rankings, schools nationwide are given a score out of 100. This year, the Senior High School scored 91.1 out of 100. Scores are based on six weighted indicators: College Readiness, College Curriculum Breadth, Math and Reading Proficiency, Math and Reading Performance, Underserved Student Performance, and Graduation Rate.
The outstanding work being done at Rush-Henrietta Senior High School is collaborative in nature. It takes a team effort by everyone who works in - and supports - the school district.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our students, the outstanding instruction happening in our classrooms, the positive impact made by the adults in our building, and the community, which supports our efforts,” says Dr. Tim Shafer, Senior High School principal. “We are very fortunate to offer a comprehensive educational program, and the positive impact of this is reflected in our students’ performance. This is only possible when we work together.”
