Code of Conduct Workgroup

Dear R-H Families,

I hope that you have enjoyed a wonderful summer and your child had a great first week of school! 

Our community is strongest when the voices of students, families, and staff come together. I am excited to invite parents and caregivers to join a Code of Conduct Workgroup that will meet throughout the school year to review and update our district’s Code of Conduct.

The goal of this workgroup is to ensure that our Code of Conduct reflects our district priorities while also fostering a school environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful of all students and families. We believe that your perspective as a parent or caregiver is invaluable in helping us create a document that truly supports all members of our community.

We are seeking parent representatives from each grade band (UPK-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12) to participate. The commitment will include:

• Meetings twice a month, in the evening, (a mix of in-person and virtual) beginning in September/October.
• Occasional readings, feedback, or editing tasks outside of scheduled meetings.

The plan is to have a draft of the revised Code of Conduct ready by May 1, 2026, with final presentation to the Board of Education in early June.

We look forward to working alongside our families to create a Code of Conduct that reflects the values and needs of our community. 

Meeting dates will be shared once workgroup members are identified.
