Welcome to Fourth Grade!
  • Welcome to Ms. Peterson's Classroom Webpage!

    Dear Families,

Thank you for visiting my classroom webpage. I look forward to working with you and your 4th grader to make this year a successful and wonderful year! In the upcoming weeks, there will be many updates, possibly some changes occurring, and a lot of new experiences. My mantra this year will be to stay "positive, patient, and flexible."

In order to help us all stay organized and connected, please consider completing the following:

    1. Join our Class Dojo. This is a website/app that allows me to communicate with parents as a group, individually, and it also allows me to communicate how your child is doing in school. You can join our Class Dojo using this link: Click here to connect to Class Dojo

    2. Have your child label all of their supplies prior to them bringing it to school. This will help us to keep your child's belongings organized and in the right place. You can view the Sherman supplies list here: Sherman Supplies List 2020-2021

    3. Take a look at my monthly 4th Grade Newsletter. This will have updates on what we are learning, any important dates, and other important information. Additionally, I have a "Guide" to our 4th grade classroom. This is still being updated, so please check back after the first week of school for any updated information. These can be found in the Class Newsletter and Parent Information sections of this classroom webpage.

    4. Start practicing home learning routines and expectations now. Make a plan for when and where your child will complete work while learning remotely. Practice wearing a mask for longer periods of time and how to properly wash hands.

Feel free to reach out to me via Class Dojo or email (speterson@rhnet.org) with any questions you may have, or even just to say "hello!" Additionally, your 4th grader is welcome to send me an email introducing themselves; I would love to "e-meet" them!

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we navigate this new school year together. I look forward to meeting and working with you all to make this year a great year!

    Most sincerely,

    Ms. Peterson
