Dear 6th Grade Students and Guardians,

Welcome to a new and exciting school year! This will be my 26th year of teaching and I still get excited for the opening day of school! I hope that you all had an active and enjoyable summer. I spend time doing the things that I love like boating, gardening and spending time with my husband and children. Summer is one of my favorite times of the year but I do love the Fall when the air cools and we can get down to the business of new learning and making strong connections with new friends. Hopefully during the new school year I will get a chance to create relationships with not only my students but their families.

6th grade curriculum night. On October 1st. Hrs. Hardy and I will provide you with information about ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science. The night will begin and 6:00 pm and end promptly at 7:00 pm. The visit will allow us to inform you of the work ahead but will not offer much time for one-one conversation. Therefore, feel free to drop us and email with any questions of concerns that should arise following our presentation. While you are here, you can sign up for a parent-teacher conference time. I look forward to seeing you and sharing the exciting work that awaits.
