Stopfinder

Rush-Henrietta is using the Stopfinder app to provide real-time information to families regarding their student’s busing. If your child rides the bus, the primary contact on the student's SchoolTool record received an email invitation with instructions to download and set up the app. The primary contact may then share it with others - such as a spouse, grandparent, or babysitter - so they may also receive the notifications.

Through this app, families may receive notifications when the bus is arriving to pick up or drop off a student. See below for information on setting up alerts. Notifications also will let people know a child has gotten on or off the bus. In addition, transportation can send notifications regarding busing for delays, such as inclement weather, an accident, or late dismissal.

If you have questions about the app, please reach out to the Transportation department at 359-5380. If you are the primary contact and did not receive the invitation, please check your junk folder to see if it may have been filtered there. If you still cannot find the message, please contact your school's main office so that we may verify your email address in the system.

Alerts

You may set up alerts through the app. Please note:

  • You must have push notifications enabled in order to receive alerts on your phone when the app is not open.
  • While the app does offer live bus tracking via a map, our district has chosen to disable that feature for security reasons. Since the app can be shared by parents, we feel it’s safer to keep live tracking turned off at this time. However, GeoAlerts can be used to let you know when it is close.

Available Alerts

  • ETA Alerts: Get estimated arrival times for the bus at your child's stop. You can set custom intervals (5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes).
  • GeoAlerts: Create custom alert zones (e.g., at the school or along the route) to be notified when the bus enters or departs those areas. You may receive as many location-based updates as you'd like. You can even customize the names—something like “5 Minutes Out” or “Passing McDonald's” to make it more useful.
  • Schedule and Route Change Alerts: Be notified of any changes to your child's bus schedule or route, including vehicle substitutions.

How to Set Up Alerts

  1. You must have the Stopfinder app: Find it on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Enable notifications in phone settings:
