R-H Works

It was an incredible scene one Friday in March 2025 as Rush-Henrietta students spent the morning shoulder to shoulder with local business leaders. They shared important insights with each other during the district’s second annual R-H Works Industry Breakfast.

Nearly 100 people attended the event, which brought business leaders together from throughout Monroe County. The goal was to generate a thoughtful conversation about the specific skills and attributes essential to the workforce of the future. The highlight of the event for many business leaders was having unfiltered access to students, many of whom are prepping for successful business careers. These included a number of our award-winning DECA students. 

This event came on the heels of several other meaningful gatherings. For example, this winter, the district met with R-H Works members to discuss how our Career and Technical Education efforts align with the district’s strategic plan, Vision 2037. Attendees discussed ways we can strengthen partnerships with local businesses and higher education, as well as developing and expanding career pathways.

Public education plays a critical role in preparing students for success. Whether students plan to attend college, enlist in the military, or enter the workforce after graduation, we want to ensure they have the skills needed to become the next generation of industry leaders. Our collective efforts will ensure that our students are not only prepared for the workforce but are also empowered to pursue their passions and dreams.
