Registering for School Athletics

All student-athletes, grades 7-12, must complete Arbiter Registration before participating in school athletics.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER

Having the following information ready will make registration easier:

1. Current Physical

Your student must have a current physical within the last 12 months.
Have a digital copy/photo of the physical available to upload it during registration.

2. Student ID Number

Have your student’s school-issued Student ID number ready. This can be found in SchoolTool or the back of their student ID card.

3. Graduation Year

Know the year your student will graduate from high school. This can be found in SchoolTool.

4. Emergency Action/Asthma Action Plans

Must be renewed prior to each school year

Please DO NOT complete registration on your phone.

For the best experience, use a:

Desktop computer
iPad
Tablet

First-time registration typically takes approximately 15–20 minutes.

Future registrations will be quicker because Arbiter saves your family and participant information.

REGISTRATION DIRECTIONS

FIRST TIME USERS

If you have never used Arbiter Registration before:

1. Select “Create Account.”

A parent/guardian should create the account. Students under age 18 cannot create their own Arbiter Registration account.

2. Enter the parent/guardian email address.

Arbiter will send a verification code to your email.

3. Verify your email and create your password.

Enter the verification code, create a password, and enter the parent/guardian's first and last name.

4. Begin your students's registration.

Select the appropriate athletics registration and complete all required information.

5. Select the appropriate sport/section.

Be sure you are registering your student for the correct season, sport, and level.

6. Complete all required fields and agreements.

Fields marked as required must be completed before you can submit the registration.

7. Review and submit.

When you have completed the registration, select Continue and then Submit. *Note, registration is free and no payment is required.

Your registration should show a COMPLETED status, and Arbiter will send a confirmation email to your account email address.

RETURNING FAMILIES (Already have an account)

Do NOT create a new account each season or school year.

Log in using your existing Arbiter Registration account. Your family's information is saved and can be used again for future registrations.

One Arbiter Family Account can also be used to register multiple students. You do not need a separate account for each student.

Best practice: Remove old attachments such as previous physicals, emergency care plans, or asthma action plans.

REGISTRATION & APPROVAL REMINDER

Submitting a registration does not automatically mean your student-athlete is cleared to participate.

Registrations are typically reviewed within 2-3 business days after submission. Once the review is complete, the parent/guardian will receive an email with one of the following statuses:

“Correction Required”: Something in the registration needs to be corrected, updated, or completed by the parent/guardian. Follow the instructions in the email and make the necessary corrections as soon as possible.
“Approved”: Your student's registration has been reviewed and approved, and your child is eligible to participate in tryouts.

CHECK YOUR EMAIL!

Please watch the email account associated with your Arbiter registration for status updates.

Your student-athlete is not cleared for tryouts until you receive the “Approved” email.

To avoid delays, families are strongly encouraged to register well before the first day of tryouts.
