Hall of Fame

Eligibility: There are three categories to nominate potential Hall of Fame inductees.
They are:

• Athletes/ Teams: Individuals who were athletes in a Rush-Henrietta High School and have been graduated a minimum of ten years. Teams whose season of nomination is ten years prior to the nomination date.
• Coaches: Individuals who have made a significant and extraordinary contribution to a Rush-Henrietta CSD Athletic program.
• Honoree: An honorary candidate must have made a significant impact on Rush-Henrietta athletics and/or on sectional, regional, state, national, professional, administration or international levels of athletes. The honorary category may include but not be limited to counselors, faculty managers, administrators, scoreboard/book operators, booster club members as well as community supporters.

Applications will be accepted between January 1 and April 1 each year. Nominations will be made available to the general public using available media outlets. Anyone may nominate. Note - this window is extended for 2026.

Rush-Henrietta Athletics Hall of Fame Committee shall consist of five to seven members representing coaching staff, administration, Board of Education, booster club members, students and/or community residents. The Athletic Director will serve as a permanent member of the Committee. A chairperson will be selected by the committee and serve for a minimum of three years.

Nominations will be reviewed annually between April 1st and June 1st. The committee chairperson will tally votes and submit ties for re-votes. A nominee must receive at least 60% of the votes to be inducted. Nominations will be eligible for five years after the date of the initial application. Committee members will vote by secret ballot.

The inductees will be announced annually in August or October. An induction ceremony will be coordinated between the Sports Boosters and the Athletic Office.

The R-H Sports Booster Club will provide annual funding of $500 to cover the cost of plaques and flowers at the ceremony. Any additional costs will be approved by the R-H Sports Booster Club.

There will be a touchscreen display in the Senior High School gymnasium foyer.

An inductee may be removed from the Hall of Fame for conduct unbecoming of a Hall of Fame member. Removal will require unanimous vote by the committee.
