School Social Workers

  • The school social worker is a licensed mental health specialist who serves as a liaison between school, home and the community. The school social worker advocates for and empowers students, their families and educators to gain access to and effectively use school and community resources. Service delivery is focused towards students whose emergent social-emotional, biological and environmental factors create barriers to educational achievement. Interventions are directed towards supporting academic success and personal growth.
