Dear Parents,

As of today, we have exactly three weeks left to the 2009-2010 school year. It's an exciting time for our eighth graders! Please support me these last weeks as we continue to learn. Believe it or not, I do still have academic expectations, even if your children say it isn't so! Everyone needs to attend class on time, prepared, and ready to learn.

We are conducting research on self-selected topics. That means we are engaging in the process of selecting topics, locating credible sources, taking accurate notes, writing a paper with a supporting works cited page and word processing it all. These are skills they need throughout high school and college.
