Welcome to Mr. Page's 7th Grade Social Studies Website!
Dear Parents and Students:Thank you for visiting my classroom website! I am very excited to start a new school year with my new 7th grade students! The purpose of this website is to provide parents and students with up-to-date information on upcoming units, class projects, and tests throughout the year. 7th Grade Social Studies is focused not only on Early American History (Native Americans, to European Colonization, through the American Civil War), but also on current events, literacy (reading & writing), and critical thinking skills! Throughout the year I will push my students to be problem solvers, geography buffs, and practical/analytical thinkers. I try to be a teacher that provides purposeful work with clear and high expectations for my students. I understand each student comes with different strengths and abilities. To download the files we use in class, click on the Unit being studied to the left, under "Main Page" Homework will NOT be posted on this site. Assignments will be given during class time, and as a safety net, we have set up two homework hotlines (one via phone, one via e-mail). If students need to find out what their homework assignments are, they have 4 different ways to find out. If your child is having trouble completing assignments on time, download and print this flow chart off as a tool. My teammates and I want to emphasize that it is the STUDENTS' RESPONSIBILITY to know the assignments. This chart can help students if they need it.
As a team, we have developed a "Team 7-3" website that parent/guardians and students can use to read about our team goals.
