Welcome to Miss Platania's Webpage!

Hello! My name is Jyllian Platania and I am a certified social studies and special eduation teacher.  This year I am co-teaching 7th grade social studies with Mr. Page and I also consut/co-teach with the Team 8-2 teachers in all subject areas.  I am a Rochester native and I attended Nazareth College for both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. I am currently certified to teach 7-12 Social Studies and 7-12 Special Education.

My goals for this year are to build a strong relationship with each and every student. I want social studies class to be a safe and comfortable learning environment where students feel at ease working with others and asking for help.
